Oregon 2012 – “the best vintage of my career.” “One of three truly great vintages in my 35 years of wine making experience.” So say the winemakers.
Oregon’s 2012 vintage white wines are arriving quickly, with the 2012 Pinot noirs and other reds following closely behind. Watch this page for the latest releases from the vintage people are calling “an epic harvest that could lead to one of the best vintages in the history of the 50-year-old region”.
What made the difference in 2012? The quality of the fruit. “We put away the sorting table” said one winemaker. “The fruit was so perfect, there were no clusters to reject. The fruit was perfectly ripe with no flaws, making for easy fermentation and beautiful flavors.”
