Southern Spirits Booze News and the Rare Whiskey Lottery!
Hey there boozefans. It is that time of year again. The rare whiskey LOTTERY.
WHEN: 12/5/16 MONDAY 5:15
HOW: Fill out a form at the register. Forms will be available on Monday 11/14/16
A BUNCH OF OTHER RULES:
ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, IF YOU PLACE TWO ENTRIES BOTH WILL BE REMOVED
THE NAME ON THE TICKET WILL BE THE SAME AS THE PERSON SELECTING THE BOTTLE. YOU WILL COME UP TO THE TABLE PRESENT YOUR ID AND CHOOSE FROM THE AVAILABLE BOTTLES. YOU WILL THEN GO DIRECTLY TO THE REGISTER AND PAY FOR YOUR PURCHASE.
I know that there will be a hundred thousand questions coming. So here are a few examples.
“Keith, I will be out of town on that day, can my wife go for me?” Your wife must fill out a form and be there. If your name is called your wife will not be able to pick up your bottle. The NAME will MATCH the person in attendance.
“I am currently living on Pluto and my spaceship will not get to your store until 12/5 can I fill out the form over the phone?” No.
“how much are all the bottles and what all will you have” I have not received all of the bottles so I do not know the answer to those questions. There will be one hundred awesome bottles.
FRIDAY WINE 4:00-6:00
LES TOURELLES DE LA CREE: Any time of the year is a good time for White Burgundy! There are few things better in life than a good white burgundy.
EMMOLO SAUVIGNON BLANC: California knows how to make excellent white wine too, and this is one of our favorites.
ELK COVE: We love Oregon Pinot Noir here at Southern Spirits. Elk Cove is a very consistent house that can be counted on to make solid wines, year after year.
ROBERT FOLEY GRIFFIN: This big bold red is perfect for the cold weather that is approaching. It is a big crowd pleasing, fruit bomb.
SATURDAY 2:00-5:00 FINLANDIA, FINLANDIA TANGERINE, WOODFORD RYE, WOODFORD DOUBLE OAK
Another excellent tasting featuring one of my favorite ryes, one of my favorite bourbons, and a well made vodka.
SATURDAY HOT DOGS AND BEER FOR THE VETERANS 12-5
This Saturday we will be serving hot dogs and collecting money for the VFW
EACH PINT OF SERVICE BREWING IPA SOLD WE WILL DONATE A DOLLAR TO THE VETERANS.
FORTALEZA REPOSADO: The roommate and I had a lot of this on Tuesday. It is awesome.
MORTLACH RARE OLD: This is still my Scotch of the year. It has everything I want in a whisky.
AMRUT FUSION: This whiskey gets better every time I try it! Great way to end the day.
OSCAR BLUES TEN FIDDY: One big badass stout! I love this beer, especially when I pair with whiskey.
EL DORADO!!!!! Man am I on a roll or what?? First Fortaleza, then Amrut, now El Dorado!! This is the last of the items I wanted the day I arrived. From here on out it is all gravy!
This distillery from top to bottom is one of the best in the world! Rum lovers rejoice, non rum drinkers get on board!
CHICKEN COCK: Dixie vodka makes a bourbon and it has been requested several times so here it is folks.
JACK DANIELS #4: The latest release in a six part series. I like this concept with them recreating the old formula’s of distillers come and gone. I wonder if at the end of it they will also start aging number seven longer again.
KEITH’S PERFECT MANHATTAN: Many years ago I was serious about making The Best Manhattan ever, and one of my customers told me, I should try a “perfect” Manhattan. I did so at once and fell in love. It is part of my rotation.
