Let’s Make a Margarita

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and luckily for you, the classic margarita is very simple to make.
The primary ingredients include
- Tequila (your preference)
- Triple Sec
- Lime
Mix 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of triple sec, and 1 ounce of lime juice over ice and serve. Chilled glasses are nice…and so is a salted rim.
However, if you’re willing to mix it up this Cinco de Mayo, there are tons of variations on the margarita, from fruity to tangy, there’s a margarita out there for everyone.
Passion Fruit Margarita
- 1 Cup Tequila
- 1 Cup Passion Fruit nectar
- 1/3 Cup Orange-flavored liqueur
- 2 Tsp Superfine Sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Combine and shake well.
Margarita Popsicle
- 1 cup honeydew juice (whole melon)
- 1/3 cup cucumber juice (half cucumber)
- ½ cup tequila
- 1 tbs triple sec
- 1 tbs mint syrup
- 2 mint sprigs
- Puree honeydew and cucumber and add tequila, triples sec, lime juice, and mint syrup. Blend and pour into Popsicle molds. Freeze & enjoy!
Jalapeno Margarita
- 1 thin jalapeno slice
- handful celery leaves
- 6 ounces fresh lime juice
- Spoonful confectioners’ sugar
- Mix in a blender, and add 16 ounces of tequila and 8 ounces of orange liqueur.
Margarita Cupcakes
Margarita comes in many forms, to include delicious cupcakes!
Strawberry Margarita
- 1 cup tequila
- 1 cup fresh strawberry jise
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
- ½ cup Cointreau
- Mix and serve over ice. Garnish with afresh strawberry!
Frosty Mexican Bulldog Margarita
- 1 cup tequila
- ½ Grand Marnier
- 5 limes
- Orange
- 1 cup simple syrup
- 6 Corona beers
- ½ cup salt
- Juice limes & orange and add tequila, grand mariner and simple syrup. Blend ice to get desired thickness and pour into glasses. Open a Carona, and place it upside down into a glass.
Margarita Bars
Add a tasty treat to the mix by making these delicious Margarita Bars.
Sour Patch Margarita
- 2 ox Voodoo Tiki Green Dragon Tequila
- ½ ox Midori melon liqueur
- ½ oz Triple Sec
- 1 oz sour mix
- 1 ox orange juice
- Sugar
- Over ice, mix tequila, melon liqueur, triple sec and sour mix. Add orange juice and shake.
