Keith’s Picks for October!
Fortaleza tequila – I could write a three page essay on this, but let me just say, it is the best in the world.
Old Forester Vintage series: When I first heard about this I didn’t think much of it. I thought this was going to be some gimmick, but it has turned out to be a fascinating and high quality series. I have enjoyed all three of them a great deal.
Smooth Ambler American: The latest whiskey from the fine folks at Smooth Ambler. This has quickly become one of my most trusted and favorite distilleries.
BACHE GABRIELSON: This small batch Cognac uses American oak, which gives it a nice vanilla component that is not typically found in its more famous counterpart.
DAVID NICHOLSON RESERVE: Finally, someone got the memo and put out another wheated bourbon. It is the style that everyone wants but no one can get.
HIGHWEST SINGLE BARREL DOUBLE RYE: This lovely rye is what happens when you take the regular double rye and age it for an additional 15 months. When I got the opportunity to buy the whole barrel of this for the store it was a no brainer. This robust whiskey has everything I like in a rye!
