Keith’s Picks For June!
Keith’s Picks for June!
Pilar blonde and pilar 24 rum – One aged to perfection, with tons of flavor coming through but a dry finish, and the other a young vanilla bomb perfect for drinking straight or mixing.
EDRADOUR SAUTERNE: How do you improve one of the best Scotches in the world? Age it in French desert barrels!
Ledaig 10yr – This wonderfully peated whiskey, while not as powerful as Laphroaig or Ardbeg is still very well done with some nice butterscotch to counter balance the whole thing.
TULLAMORE DEW PHOENIX – While many Irish whiskey are too tame for Dr. Haze, this one is cask strength and have plenty of power to go around.
DON Q 2005– Our number one selling rum has put out a lovely vintage sipper! How on earth could we pass on this?
POLI MIELE – How about an amazing Italian honey liqueur? So smooth, so much more going on than you would expect, and not super sweet.
DON FELIX – An old favorite, finally located and brought in! I will rank this tequila against any, especially the reposado, which balances the smoothness and the spice, expertly.
SIGNATORY GLENLIVET 1996 – So many reasons to love Signatory, but here is one of the best. The fact that this scotch is 19 years old only serves to illuminate what makes this company so special. They put the whiskey out when it is ready! There is no such thing as 19 year old scotch, but he did it because that was when, he felt it should be bottled.
MEZCALES OAXACA: I never knew that a Mezcal could be delicate. Wrong again Haze! Yes there is still smoke here, but it is mild and pleasant.
MEZCALES GUERRERO: I love this series so much how could I pass on any of them? This one tastes like dirt in the best possible way!
