April Booze News From Southern Spirits
FRIDAY WINE 4:00-6:00
EMMOLO SAUVIGNON BLANC: An excellent example of what Napa can do with this wonderful grape.
CHATEAU DES ANNIBALS ROSE: That is right, it is Rose time again! When the weather gets warm, there are few wines that service a meal better.
KLEIN CONSTANTIA ESTATE RED: A bordeaux blend from South Africa. 90 points from Wine Spectator.
SEQUOIA GROVE CABERNET: Totally a new world Cabernet, with big ripe fruit, soft tannins, and made for beef dishes!
NOT YOUR FATHERS ROOTBEER, NOT YOUR MAMAS APPLE PIE, AND WOODCHUCK CIDER
There are a lot of folks that don’t like the taste of booze, but they want to have a drink too! I am all about finding the drink for anyone. I met someone a couple of weeks ago that told me that they don’t drink because they don’t like the taste, and I told them, give me one chance and I can fix that!
SATURDAY ROYAL ELITE VODKA 2:00-5:00
Come and try this well made new Vodka! It has levels from mixing on up to sipping.
KEITH’S CABINET: WHAT KEITH IS DRINKING NOW
AVERY RAJA: This beer is excellent and well balanced! The hops and the malt are well balanced.
OSCAR BLUES G’KNIGHT: This imperial red is damn sexy! Oscar Blues continues to impress and deliver.
REDEMPTION RYE: Yes I love the high rye bourbon but I also love the Rye!
EL DORADO 12: I decided to kill this awesome bottle and I will miss it dearly!
ANCNOC 12: I really love this Scotch! I think of it as an any time and any weather whisky.
NEW ARRIVALS:
PAVAN: This French liqueur was a customer request but I am excited to try it! It is a St. Germain substitute made from muscat grapes and orange blossoms. Like St. Germain it can be mixed with a great number of things. Expect to see a recipe about it next week.
BASIL HAYDEN RYE: There is very little information on this right now. I expect it will be very mild like the bourbon. It is 80 proof which supports my thesis. I got a case, I do not know if there will be more or not. I never see that sales rep, so I remain in the dark.
MUDDY RIVER PEACH: Our good friends from Belmont are back with a delicious peach liqueur!
LACUESTA VERMOUTH: I go to try these last week at the wonderful DOGWOOD, in South Park. If you have not had a meal at Dogwood, then you need to fix that immediately. Not only is the food great, but it is one of the best places to get a top shelf cocktail as well.
BIANCO: This excellent vermouth will totally reinvent your martini, or can just be had on its own.
ROJO: Try this in your next Manhattan or Negroni and be amazed at the results.
RISERVA: Attention Amaro lovers, this is basically the Spanish version of Amaro! A real treat for those of you inclined to that taste profile.
