Superbowl Party Planning
While everyone in the Charlotte area is disappointed not to have our beloved Panthers in the Superbowl, we are still ready to enjoy the biggest football game of the year with great friends, delicious food and excellent drinks. Of course, Southern Spirits is ready to help with all of your favorite cocktails, shots, kegs and beer for the big game. In honor of the the Seahawks vs. Broncos, we thought we would share some cool cocktails as well as some fun recipes which are sure to make your party the hit of the year!
Football Cocktails
Seahawk Slammer
1 1/4 oz Absolut Pears Vodka
1/2 oz Bols Blue Caracao
1 splash(es) Sour Mix
2 piece(s) Limes (Muddled)
Lime wedge garnish
1 ounce vodka (we have many on sale right now!)
1 ounce coffee liqueur
- Pour the vodka and coffee liqueur in a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Fill with equal amounts of milk or cream and cola & stir

Football Deviled Eggs from Hostess Jo.
Makes 10 to 12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 dozen hard-cooked eggs, peeled
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons mango chutney
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
- Kosher salt to taste
- Garnish: sliced fresh chives
Prep
Cut eggs in half lengthwise; carefully remove yolks. Mash yolks; stir in mayonnaise, chutney, and red pepper until blended. Spoon yolk mixture evenly into egg white halves. Sprinkle evenly with desired amount of salt. Garnish, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.

1 sleeve Toll House butter crackers
1 6 ounce bar marbled Monterrey Jack Cheese, cut into slices 1/4 inch thick
1 8 ounce bar sharp cheddar cheese, cut into slices 1/4 inch thick
About 12 to 15 thinly sliced pepperoni
2 slices light colored cheese like plain Monterrey Jack
To assemble the platter: Work from the inside out. First, make a small football shape in the center of the platter with the sharp cheddar cheese. then cover it with the pepperoni. Use the light colored Monterrey Jack to make the football lace shapes. Then, around this football shape arrange a second layer of the sharp cheddar cheese. Next, arrange a layer of marbled Monterrey Jack around the cheddar. Finally, arrange the crackers around the outside. Serve!
