Southern Spirits Has the Best Beer Wine and Liquor for You!
Hey there boozefans, have I mentioned my torrid love affair with Gin? I have? Sorry to gush, but everyday people walk in here and loudly express there extreme distaste for gin. Further probing always (98%) of the time, that they drank some Barton’s gin once with Schweppes tonic and hated it. Guess what folks, gin is crazy good and lovely for the Summer! Our gin section is a wonderful place full of adventure and happiness! They don’t all taste like pine trees folks! Every gin has its own taste and style, and Gin has been overrun by small batch craft distillers, this is the best time ever to be a gin drinker. You can have the extremely clean Martin Millers, the Cucumber goodness of Uncle Val’s Restorative, the lemony goodness of Greenhat, the raspberry loveliness of Nolet’s, or the all around balance of the St. George Botanivore! Okay enough about Gin, but one last thought, GIN GIN GIN GIN GIN GIN! This one was for you Sara!
LALUCA PROSECCO: Prosecco, the fruitier and less expensive bubbly from Italy. Perfect for an afternoon, a brunch, or any occasion!
CASTEL DES MAURES ROSE: Rose season is in full effect! Provence is a treasure trove of wonderful Rose! Another reminder, Rose is the ultimate Summer wine and should never be confused with White Zinfandel or other sickly sweet monstrosities!
VERSO ROSSO SALENTO: Hey how about a small production red blend from Italy? It is done in an eco-friendly way and even uses a parThis wine is big and friendly and a perfect wine to get you out of your Cab-Pinot-Cab rut!
VARVARA BOLGHERI: Another Italian blend this one of more the more traditional grape varietals, Cabernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and just for fun Syrah! The wine world is a much bigger place than anyone of us can imagine!
KEITH’S CABINET: What Keith is drinking now.
GEORGE TERROIR: Makes an amazing martini, makes a fun gin and tonic, and can be had straight!
FRENCH 75’S: The wonderful gin based cocktail was a big hit at my get together on Saturday.
THATCHERS ELDERFLOWER: Just as good as St. Germain but for less money and with less sugar!
HIGH WEST YIPPE KI-YAY: I am truly enjoying this wonderful bottle of unique rye!
GREAT DIVIDE TITAN: I love everything about this beer, plenty of hops but plenty of malt to counterbalance it. Lovely!
ROSE: I have been drinking two-three of them a week, because they are so food friendly, and so refreshing in this weather.
JEFFERSON’S MANHATTAN: Another top shelf, pre-made cocktail. They have barrel-aged bourbon and vermouth just like High West did, but with a lighter, earthier, and drier taste. Just add ice, bitters, and a cherry, and you are off to a tasty cocktail.
NO 209 GIN: What another delicious gin from San Francisco? How many amazing gins can we make? A LOT! I have missed this gin a lot and am happy to finally have it in this store!
NO 209 BARREL AGED GIN: Wow! I mean Wow! This beautiful gin was aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels and it shows. This right here, this is why I drink spirits, to find something so original and well made! Can’t wait to try there other styles.
CYNAR 70: Want a little more oomph in your artichoke liqueur? Well here you go! This one is for you Jeff
ENGLISH HARBOUR 5 YEAR: I have had numerous requests for this rum from Antigua, so here you go. I was going to buy one last night but I couldn’t resist the gin and the Jefferson’s, and I am already past my budget for the entire year of 2016!
DAVID NICHOLSON BOURBON: The world has been demanding another wheated bourbon, so the fine folks at Luxco have answered by reviving this classic distillery and making the style that is en vogue. Bourbon by law must be 51% corn, after that it is made of a variety of other items. Famous “wheaters” Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s, Van Winkle, and Weller(NO WE DON’T HAVE ANY of those listed ones). So this is made in that style.
