Keith’s Liquor Updates!
Hey there booze fans, I hope you are all surviving this icy, cold, and nasty weather. Thank god for whiskey! Keeps me warm at night, helps me to remember why I need to get out of bed, never cusses or argues with me. We have a love that burns stronger than the day I first met her, and though I may flirt with other liquors, I always come back home. What I have learned is that if you treat your booze with respect then it will respect you back. Life is too short for bad drinks. Drink better! Do not break the bank every time you go out but buy something that is worth drinking. Something fun and exciting that will reward you if you take your time with it.
FRIDAY THE 20TH ST. GEORGE 3:30-6:30
Woohoo! I am stoked to have one of the smallest and best distilleries in the world return to our happy store. If it were up to me they would be here four times a year! Everything they make is great, and they exemplify the difference between truly small batch and factory products. The lovely Lindy will be back with all of her knowledge and charm. This time we will be doing the Spiced Pear, the Raspberry, the Terroir Gin, and the Absinthe! Never tried Absinthe? Well here is your big chance. Lindy will be whipping up a special Absinthe cocktail for everyone to try.
SATURDAY NEW AMSTERDAM 3:30-6:30
Gallo’s big booze line comes back to the store with their line of affordable and solid products. When it comes to bang for your buck these guys really know what they are doing.
KEITH’S CABINET: What Keith is drinking this week.
Medley Brothers: Sorry folks I just can’t get enough of this little fellow. It makes a tremendous Manhattan and it is keeping me warm through this cold spell. Affordable and delicious.
Giffard Pamplemousse: This little Grapefruit Brandy is adding a lovely flavor to everything I put it in.
Brown Shugga: Lagunitas Barley Wine. This beer has just about everything and is the perfect beer for this cold weather. It can stand up to any whiskey and two of them is good for a night!
Donati Claret: I love everything that this winery makes! There are not many under twenty reds that can compete with this little gem. Very food friendly, but has enough going on to stand alone.
NEW ARRIVALS
GLENMORANGIE TUSAIL: This the latest Private Edition release, and I do not expect it to even make it to Friday. I was not even supposed to get any but I called the brand manager and pleaded my case with him and sent him a long email explaining how even though we were in Fort Mill, Glenmorangie is our number one selling Scotch and how Columbia and Charleston might be more famous spots but that I have the best Scotch customers and they deserve a chance at this release. I wish they had sent five cases instead of one, but a few of you will get lucky.
HUDSON BABY BOURBON: So many people have requested this little critics darling from New York that I had to bring it back in. I try to always listen to customer suggestions and bring the items that you are looking for in. This is a 100% corn aged in very small barrels.
GREEN SPOT: More whining, yelling, crying etc and boom! Here is some more Green Spot. Restock, or try what I think is the smoothest whiskey in the store for the first time. Supply very limited.
LINKWOOD 15: This is another return. We have been our for a long time, but if you missed it the first time this is an outstanding whisky. This was the main source for the Johnny Walker Green label, so for those of who miss that (me me me) here is your closest chance to be reunited. It is not the same, but it will remind you of it, and overall it is actually the better whisky.
CROWN APPLE: This wildly popular variation of Crown Royal has been mostly out of stock since its arrival but today we have it in 1.75, 1l, 750, and 375. Two cases of each so we should be good for a week!
WESTBROOK FISTICUFFS: Let me clear there is a tiny amount of this, so despite a bottle limit it will be gone in a flash. This is a heads up, not a guarantee. Because I guarantee the majority will not get one.
PRAIRIE: Another batch of Prairie beers!
ANCHORAGE DEAL WITH THE DEVIL: This big monster is rated a 100pts, aged in Cognac Barrel and is sitting at 17.3 ABV. Probably the most expensive beer in the store but very limited and made by one of the best breweries in the world!
RECIPE OF THE WEEK: SUPER GREYHOUND
