Beetlejuice has nothing on Keith Haze who has returned from his travels to California just in time to give you some tricks and treats for Halloween!

Hey booze fans it is Halloween! I finally stopped trick-or-treating last year when concerned and confused parents could not see where my child was and were not fooled by my “I am dressed as an adult” costume. It is okay I will just steal candy from children. Kids today get waaaaay better candy than we did. If you got one snickers mini in your whole bag that was a score! Mostly it was penny candy (yes there was candy for a penny). Now kids can contract diabetes from just one bag! How about those Panthers? I have to admit that I did not see this coming, but the defense is playing very well, Jonathon Stewart is healthy and running over people, and Cam Newton continues to deliver in the Fourth Quarter. Should be an exciting Monday night game. The less said about my Bears the better.

TASTINGS

WINE TASTING ON FRIDAY 4:00-6:00

SAVOIE WINE: Chances are you have never had this grape before. Luckily for you guys Martha is out there finding exciting wines like this for you.

100% JACQUERE. This complex white is perfect for seafood.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Horse Heaven Hills Sauvignon Blanc. This excellent Washington Vineyard is famous for its Columbia Crest wines, but Columbia Crest is getting in on the action.

Broadside Cabernet: Paso Robles continues to fly under the radar. They make quite a few outstanding and affordable wines. Also, a wonderful place to visit!

D:66 What???? An Orin Swift wine? Give the people what they want is what I always say, or do I say “the people should want what I tell them” Either way here comes another giant fruit forward red from the king of them.

BEER TASTING FRIDAY 4:00-6:00

RJ ROCKERS– Four different beers for you to taste and choose from!

SATURDAY 3:30-6:30 JAMESON CASKMATES, ABSOLUT APPLE, AND AVION SILVER TEQUILA and KAHLUA PEPPERMINT!

Jameson Caskmates is their newest release, it has been aged in beer barrels. A reverse of the more common marriage.

ABSOLUT APPLE: Apple is definitely a fall flavor. All sorts of combos can be made from this.

AVION SILVER: A tequila that is famous for being famous.

KAHLUA PEPPERMINT: It is that time of year and I think this is one of their best flavors. Goes well with coffee but even better with Vodka.
Keith’s Cabinet: What Keith is drinking now.

Brandy is BIG!!! An absolutely wonderful brandy awaits you at Southern Spirits. C’mon Carolinians! Whatever you think about the French they know how to eat and drink. There is simply no reason that this stuff should not be way more popular. Our brandy section has exploded, take advantage!

ICEBERG VODKA: I drink what I sell and I sell what I drink. No one is turning their back on Dixie, I have simply added this to my rotation.

FLIGHT 69 GIN: I know that gin season is over but this deal was too good for me to pass up so I had to snag two bottles for just 30 bucks!!! This gin is gluten free, makes a good martini, a great gin and tonic, and the best gimlet. Going to make a bramble with it tonight or tomorrow.

VIZCAYA RUM: The only thing that could make this rum better was the cold and rainy weather.

WOODFORD: It was time to revisit Woodford, still one of the best. Combined with the Carpano Antica, and Luxardo Cherries, it makes the most amazing Manhattan.

NEW ARRIVALS AND RETURNS:

JACK DANIEL’S CASK STRENGTH WHISKEY: I really enjoyed this. The first batch got snatched up quick and I am sure this one will move quickly as well!

KILKERRAN WIP SHERRY CASK: I believe this is the final year of this series and then next year Glengyle will make its own label. In any case, this stuff is lovely. Another rare treat for you guys! Only got six bottles this year, Scotch secrets are hard to keep!

Revolucion Tequila: Just when you thought I carried every tequila in the world except for the one you really wanted comes one you have never heard of!

Seprent’s Bite Apple Cider Flavored Whiskey: Now that we have reached one hundred thousand cinnamon flavored items, it is time for one hundred thousand apple ones. So here comes lucky number 7!

Paul Masson Red Berry: Did you ever think to yourself, I love red berries, and I love not spending a lot of money! Well now you can have it!

PUMPKIN MARTINI

1.5 OZ OF PEARL PUMPKIN SPICE (PINNACLE PUMPKIN PIE)

1.5 OZ OF TRES LECHES (Buffalo Trace Cream)

Pour vodka first, then add cream over ice. Can add nutmeg if you like.
