New Items at Southern Spirits!!
Southern Spirits loves to bring you new items and this week is no exception!
News from Keith!
KAVALANA CONCERT SERIES: This is Port Aged Twaiwanese whiskey. It has been noticed and highly regarded by the current whiskey god Jim Murray. Still working on getting the original, but I am excited to add another example of how great whiskey comes from all over. Those of you who have already tasted our Japanese, Welsh, or French whiskey know this to be true!
TEMPUS FUGIT CREME DE CACAO: This was one I just could not pass up. When I lived in worked in California, I used to shop at a competitors store called K and L, because they had a bunch of cool stuff that my store did not have, kind of like we have a bunch of cool stuff that other, (cough cough) stores do not have :). One of the guys I used to buy from wrote the most excited review about this product. Then I kept searching and so did everyone else. Apparently this is greatest liqueur ever produced and will improve all that it touches. I will be finding out for myself VERY soon.
VIRGIL KAINE BOURBON: We all tried this yesterday and we all agreed that it would be a welcome addition to our lovely set. Especially since they are based out of Charleston. I can safely say that this is now our best local whiskey.
VIRGIL KAINE RYE: We all liked the rye as well, but I must say it is a tad mild for me. If you want a VERY smooth and light rye this is perfect for you. Also, this is a good choice for someone who wants to try a rye for the first time. We can always use more good rye’s so I am very excited to present a local one.
BLUE HEAD REPOSADO: This lovely tequila has returned after a long absence! Never tried it? Well you should.
THE EMERALD 1865: This is an interesting one. The quick version is that a whiskey historian teamed up with a distillery to make an old school Irish whiskey using the method from 1865 before they switched to the kindly, friendly, gentle (boring) method they use today. Sadly I do not own a pre-modern whiskey bottle.
