Beer

From domestic and imported kegs to beer by the bottle, Southern Spirits has your back! Call Keith in the beer department to see which kegs we carry and which we can order just for your event. We will go to every length to ensure you get your favorites. We prefer a week of notice, but call any time to ask questions you may have. There is a $10 tap fee and we require an $85 deposit for the keg and tap, which will be returned to you, return the keg.

Wine

From champagne toasts to wine to accompany any meal, our staff is ready to help you plan your big event! Ron and Martha in the wine department know how to get the most bang for your buck, which wines pair best with the foods you are serving and the best crowd pleasers.

 Pomegranate Punch

• 3 tablespoon(s) sugar
• 1 cup(s) pomegranate juice
• 2 bottle(s) (750-milliliter) sparkling wine, chilled
• 3/4 cup(s) late-harvest white wine, such as late-harvest Riesling chilled
• 2 oranges, thinly sliced crosswise
• 1 cup(s) diced fresh pineapple, 1/2 inch dice
• 1/4 cup(s) pomegranate seeds
• Ice cubes, for serving

Liquor

When it comes to a crowd, nothing helps your budget and pleases a crowd more than a great signature cocktail. If you are looking to avoid needing a bartender or bottle everywhere, then a signature cocktail might be perfect! Talk to Dan about his best suggestions but here are some good crowd pleasers:

Tropical Bourbon Punch

• 6 cup(s) ruby-red grapefruit juice
• 2 cup(s) pineapple juice
• 1/2 cup(s) honey
• 4 cup(s) bourbon (see Tip)
• 2 cup(s) cold seltzer water

Directions

1. In a large container, whisk together grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, honey, and bourbon until combined.
2. Before guests arrive, pour mixture into a punch bowl and gently stir in seltzer water.

Avery Island Punch

• 1/2 cup(s) cassis (currant-flavored liqueur)
• 1/4 cup(s) triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
• 2 tablespoon(s) triple sec
• 1 cup(s) fresh orange juice
• 2/3 cup(s) cranberry-juice cocktail
• 2 pineapples, quartered lengthwise
• 2 oranges, cut into 1/2-inch slices
• 4 limes, cut into 1/2-inch slices
• 4 red and firm-fleshed apples, such as Cortland or Empire or firm-fleshed pears, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
• 4 bottle(s) (750-milliliter) sparkling white wine

Directions

1. Place all ingredients except wine into a large punch bowl or container. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for up to 1 hour before serving. Just before serving, pour in sparkling wine.
