Weekly Booze News From Southern Spirits!
FRIDAY 4:00-6:00
MER SOLEIL CHARDONNAY: Santa Barbara is famous for Pinot Noir, but they quietly make some special Chardonnay as well. Mer Soleil provides a great example of these big fruit forward wines.
KUNG FU GIRL: This Washington Riesling comes from Charles Smith.
JUSTIN CABERNET: Keith loves wine from Paso Robles, and this is one of their best. Justin helped put this underrated wine region on the map.
SEGHESIO ZINFANDEL: These guys continue to make some of the best Zin out there. They helped put Sonoma on the map as a zin region, and I had a great time at their winery many years ago.
TEELING AND KERRY GOLD IRISH CREAM
This is the kind of tasting that I really love. Teeling makes several excellent Irish whiskeys and we will be pouring three of them! We will also be introducing a wonderful Irish cream.
Teeling Small Batch: This was aged in a rum cask and is both easy to drink and unique to the taste.
TEELING SINGLE GRAIN: This is the latest rage in whiskey and you will be seeing more and more of these in the days ahead.
TEELING SINGLE MALT: Why should Scotland have all the fun? The Irish invented whiskey after all, and they know what do with malted barely.
KERRYGOLD IRISH CREAM: I have been enjoying this in my coffee quite a bit, but it also works straight. Another excellent alternative to Baileys.
KEITH’S CABINET: WHAT KEITH IS DRINKING NOW
HIGH WEST SINGLE BARREL RYE: I am just deeply enamored with this beautiful whiskey! It is big and bold but it does not overstay its welcome.
LAPHROIAG CASK STRENGTH: Our very own Eric, was generous enough to purchase a bottle of this for yours truly. I had forgotten exactly how much I love this whiskey. Since I do not repeat my whiskey purchases it is always a thrill to get to revisit something this tasty!
SMOOTH AMBLER 7: The Cubs are undefeated when I drink this whiskey. Sadly, it is almost gone. Now I am in a pickle because I do not repurchase the same bottle, AND I am trying.
JEFFERSON’S OCEAN: We got a small amount of this in. We don’t hold bottles, and because of our chip reader we cannot do this over the phone. One per person.
VERY OLD BARTON: We got a shipment in and it is flying off the shelves. If you don’t know what it is, that is cool don’t worry about it.
BIB AND TUCKER SMALL BATCH BOURBON: FINALLY!! This has been one of the most requested items over the last six months and it is here, and it is quite tasty.
PALLINI LIMONCELLO AND RASPICELLO: Limoncello has been in high demand so why not add another good one??? Raspberry lovers, the raspicello is fantastic!
RASPBERRY LEMONADE:
Since the weather insists on being warm again!
2 oz of Raspicello
6 oz of Lemonade
Fun and refreshing!
