Super Bowl Party Central!
Hey there booze fans, Super Bowl week is here. The big game is upon us, and what would a Super Bowl party be without booze? (poorly attended) With the latest start time ever, some bosses should be preparing for their employees to be calling in sick on Monday. Hopefully your boss is a Panthers fan and will cut you some slack when you decide to “work from home” on Monday. Remember to Hydrate and also for everyone drinking Blue cocktails, there is BOOZE in there! You may not taste it, but it is there and you might be asleep, naked, or both by halftime if you chug those down like they were water. This is not a sermon, this is a message from a Pro from Dover. Take it from a professional drunk, if you are planning on an extending drinking session you need to have a plan. Pace yourself, have a plan to get home, do not mix every type of drink under the sun, and do not have too many sugary drinks.
TASTINGS:
JOH. JOS. PRUM: When you a Riesling from this winery, you can be assured that it will be amazing! Whatever you think of Riesling, put those thoughts on hold and try this.
PINE RIDGE CHENIN BLANC + VIOGNIER: Two criminally underrated grapes combine to make a fun and affordable white.
ADELSHEIM PINOT NOIR: People love their Oregon Pinot’s! So here you go, see what the fuss is about.
FRANCISCAN CABERNET: Making burgers and steaks for your Super Bowl party? This wine will work well.
SATURDAY 2-5 SPIRITS TASTING
AFFORDABLE PANTHERS COCKTAILS!
KEITH’S CABINET: What Keith is drinking now.
NARDINI DI CEDRO: This top shelf Lemoncello is pricey but amazing. You can drink it straight, you can mix it with tonic, you can add it to almost anything! I am having a wonderful time with this.
JAMES OLIVER: The whiskey or the rye, either way we are talking about a great purchase, that can be had straight or used for yummy cocktails.
AVERY DUGANA: An amazing imperial IPA from one of my favorite breweries! Perfect hop/malt balance.
CHABLIS VAILLONS: What a fantastic wine! Need the perfect wine for cheese and crackers? Alfredo sauce? The acidity will cut right through it and refresh your palette for each new bite!
NEW ARRIVALS:
THE DUBLINER: What if they made a spirit that tasted exactly like Werthers? How much fun is that? The perfect drink for after dinner.
THE QUIET MAN: This whiskey is quite lovely. Smooth as you like, with some honey notes that leave a pleasant taste in your mouth. A happy edition to our Irish section.
TGIF: The return of the once popular, then discontinued pre-made cocktail. Back just in time for the Super Bowl.
1800 RASPBERRY: The best pre-made margarita has a new flavor. Raspberry?? Those crazy kids! Don’t they know everyone has to make an Apple flavor now????
SUPER BOWL SPOTS! Where to watch the big game if you happen to enjoy the company of humans and want booze and food brought to you and prepared by humans not related to you.
BREWS TAVERN: Friends of the store, friends of the community, and a great place to hang out for the game.
STOGIE AND BREW: Need to have a victory cigar, and a drink? Check out this small but homey, local establishment.
MOOSEHEAD GRILL: The best wings in the universe, local beers on tap.
