Keith’s Picks For April!
Keith’s Picks For April!
CARPANO ANTICA: The best sweet vermouth in the world! This will take your Manhattan to a whole other level! Dump the Martini and Rossi down the drain right now and come get some of this amazing stuff.
SOUTH BAY RUM: This tasty rum from the Dominican Republic is smooth, easy to drink, not overly sweet, but not incredibly dry. This sipping rum was a great addition and you should add it to yours.
EDRADOUR: The smallest distillery in Scotland, but one of the best! Do not be fooled by its young age, this ten year old scotch drinks better than most 15 year olds. This whisky will put a smile on your face.
MELETTI CIOCCOLATO: This will help make the best chocolate martini you have ever had, could be poured on ice cream or even had straight! Put down the Godiva and pick up the Meletti.
COLD RIVER: These guys from Maine, make the best potato vodka I have ever had, and the best Blueberry vodka I have ever had.
BLUE COAT GIN: This fantastic gin from Pennsylvania makes a lovely Martini. It is clean and smooth, and goes down almost too easily.
CHATTANOOGA WHISKEY: There is a reserve and a cask strength and I found them both to be incredibly well made and extremely drinkable. I preferred the cask strength but I would never turn down a glass of the reserve.
DOMAINE JUANDA: These two vintage Armagnacs are both outstanding. Dry, complex, and long I was happy and fortunate to bring them into the store. Just like when you are buying Champagne, vintage is the way to go. Blends might be smoother but vintage will always have more depth.
SAN MATIAS GRAN RESERVA: This three year old tequila will make your day or evening. It is silky smooth and far too easy to drink. Light and elegant it demonstrates beyond a shadow of a doubt that good tequila is to be sipped leisurely.
NIKKA MIYAGIKYO: This is from that “other” Japanese distillery. No Bill Murray movies, just great whiskey. This is a powerhouse guaranteed to make an impression on you about Japanese whiskey forever.
