St. George!! and Willett is Back!!!
Hey there booze fans! I feel like I am overstocked with goodies this week. People are asking my advice and I do not even know where to begin. The biggest news of the week is your Willet brands are back in stock. Noah’s Mill, Rowan’s Creek, Johnny Drum, and Willet Rye! Supplies are sadly limited so be quick and decisive! I am so overwhelmed with all of the awesomeness here right now that I do not know what to buy myself for my birthday this weekend!!! Ahhhhhhhh! I may put them in a pile blindfolded and just grab two! Most people are intimidated to buy me booze so I have a tradition of getting a sexy bottle for myself.
TASTINGS:
Our Friday tasting cancelled on us, but everyone will be busy buying up all the Willet and too busy to taste anyway!
SATURDAY APRIL 18TH ST. GEORGE 3:30-6:30
The lovely Lindy is back from St. George to introduce their brand new vodka’s. We are looking at three outstanding vodka’s from the geniuses that brought you some of the worlds best gin, absinthe, liqueurs, whiskey! Well now they have taken on the most popular Spirit in America. They have a plain, a citrus, and a Green Chile one! I am truly in love with this distillery and with the green chile vodka.
NEW ARRIVALS
HIGH WEST BOURYE: A gorgeous blend of nine year old bourbon and 16 year old rye. This will be appearing in Keith’s cabinet very soon. Very limited release. I had this baby the first time it came out years ago and have been missing it ever since!
BUNNAHABHAIN CEOBANACH: This is the latest release from Islay’s forgotten distillery. It is “intensely peated” but don’t expect Ardbeg level. A very limited release that I am happy to add for our peat lovers, since there are not very many peated scotches.
ANCHO REYES: The Chile liqueur! This has been requested forever, and I had given up hope after all my emails went unanswered but lo and behold here it is! Have fun you avant garde cocktail makers.
GOSLINGS FAMILY RESERVE: This is Goslings high end rum, and the quick back story is that the original Gosling distiller used to put a small amount of each batch in a barrel and after a few years when it was full he tried and thought “holy %$#%$@#” we ought to do this on purpose.
MONTIFAUD COGNAC: Oh yeah baby! I have been chasing this distillery for a good long while and now I have finally landed it. We have the full range from this small batch family run distillery. Known for being light and fruity it is a breath of fresh air to bring some craft products to the Brandy section which is dominated by factory stuff like Hennessy, Remy etc…
ROCA PATRON: Speaking of the big boys. I added Patron’s new high end series. I thought the silver was the best tequila I have had FROM that distillery.
PATRON XO CHILE-CHOCOLATE: The red box Patron xo is gone. It has been replaced by the superior chocolate chile version which is both sweet and spicy.
PUSSERS 15: Rejoice Pusser fans, I have added the reserve for you guys or for anyone else that enjoys aged sipping rum.
BUCK 8: A newish bourbon, aged eight years and by all accounts light and smooth. Will update further when I try it.
YOSHINOGAWA SAKE: A very clean and smooth sake. I really enjoyed this one. Perfect for a hot day.
BEER NEWS: Reset in progress!! Please come by and check out how awesome it is.
SIPP: A delicious and organic mixer. Right now there is summer pear and raspberry.
WILLET IS BACK! Rowan’s creek, Johnny Drum, Noah’s Mill, and the Willet 2yr rye. Grab them while you can supply is limited.
KEITH’S CABINET: What Keith is drinking now.
CANA BRAVA: Still the best white rum in the store. Makes the best rum drinks.
BIG BOTTOM BARLOW: The latest from Big Bottom, this blend is very smooth, but very lively. Engaging and fun.
WHITE RUSSIAN: With my new Giffard Vanilla! Soooo good.
SCULPIN GRAPEFRUIT: So damn good! Refreshing and delicious.
GLENDRONACH 15: WOW! What more do you want from a Scotch?
RECIPE OF THE WEEK: RASPBERRY REFRESHER
